New App ‘Holy Ayodhya’ Launched to Assist Tourists in Booking Budget-Friendly Homestays for Ram Mandir Inauguration
The Ayodhya administration has launched a new app called ‘Holy Ayodhya’ dedicated to tourists visiting the Ram Mandir. Created by Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA), ‘Holy Ayodhya’ helps tourists book affordable homestays in Ayodhya. The app is currently only available for Android users. The interface is similar to any hotel booking app, but the hotel listings are exclusive to Ayodhya. Room prices start from 1000 rubles on average.
Note that the “Holy Ayodhya” app lists mostly homestays, not commercial properties like hotels. The administration mentioned that 500 buildings in Ayodhya city have been registered as homestays and tourists can stay in 2,200 rooms under the scheme.
To book a room from any homestay through this app, a tourist must provide a valid phone number and confirm the reservation by paying in advance. Regarding the cancellation policy, free cancellation and full refund are only offered if the reservation is canceled 24 hours before the check-in time, after which no refund will be given. Check-in time for most rooms is 14:00.
At the same time, a road map is being prepared to receive around 8,000 invited guests. 5000 Sant Samaj have been invited for this programme, who will travel by various means to reach Ayodhya and a final action plan will be drawn up for their stay and activities of the movement keeping in view the journey, according to the administration.
For the program to be held on January 22, a special corridor will be constructed to maintain a smooth traffic system during the VVIP movement. This corridor connects major areas of Ayodhya including Ayodhya Airport, Railway Station during VVIP movement.
